TASK are renowned for their reputation and experience in intricate and highly skilled installation work. Which is the main purpose of this installation, a large per portion of work is decorative conduit works which by the photo’s you will see the skill and time involved in bending each conduit to the exact degree needed up to twelve times in rows.
TASK were approached by Mayfair Building Services to undertake this Contract.
This contract had many challenges and restrictions, one of which was an low noise policy (all conduit runs and light fittings were to be mounted via drilling into the ceiling slab) a large amount of work had to be completed out of normal working hours so as not to disturb the surrounding office, a factor that meant we had good planning and time management.
Essentially, we had to complete all noisy works during the night, ensuring flow of work for the following working day i.e. mounting the conduit runs and all the light fixtures.
Excellent organisation was paramount due to the main contractors tight timescale and program of works.
All conduits suspended from threaded rod were set out using scaled drawings. The scaled drawings were then replicated onto a typical gridded raised floor, creating a map of conduit runs. Thus enabling us to furnish the conduit runs precisely at floor level, allowing for the optimum positioning of the threaded rods in readiness for ceiling fixing. The floor replication also allowed for the use of a 360 degree and plumb bob lasers to accurately mark out ceiling positions, without unsightly pencil and hand marks being made the sprayed finished ceiling.
All phases were finished in time and within budget frames, which is why we are continually recommended for these types of contracts.
